GUILLERMO SALAMANCA Director

Journalist, Television and Film Producer. Salamanca has 16 years of experience in broadcast journalism, and documentaries.
Studied production and editing techniques in the Koubek Center at the University of Miami and film production in VIDEOMAKER in Chico, California. Resides in the United States since 2001.
He started writing about stories of injustice to illegal immigrants four years ago and that was the starts of “Sin Social”, a real life story adapted to a script.
“Sin Social” is the first full-length movie produced by this creative Colombian producer.
“To me “Sin Social” is a movie that shows much of the truth that is secretly kept by the immigration authorities and the victims, but at the same time it is used as a tool for the survival of the immigrants who have no other ways to become legal. This is nothing strange; it is all part of a process. There will be a lot of controversy because of the content of this movie, but it’s not a matter of telling, it’s a matter of alerting the new immigrants about the dangers they can find if they do not do things right and take the legal way”.
There are more than 100 people in this movie from leading roles to extras, actors and beginners, but the best part was the effort everyone put in to be able to finish this project.
Apparently it was easy to characterize and see the talent’s skills, since the scripts were made narrating things that contrasted with the reality that we live day to day in this country. At the end a great team was formed with a lot of human qualities after the long hours of filming in Miami and Southwest Florida.
The movie “Sin Social” is 90 minutes long and will be presented at different film festivals at the national and international level with two selections.
